Navigation system

Navigation system comprises a mobile client part (100), a stationary navigation server (600) and a wireless mobile phone communications link (500) between the two. The server transmits route and maneuver data to the client via the link, while the client converts the data to a format in which it is perceptible by the driver. The invention also relates to a corresponding client part, navigation server and navigation method.
