The insulating composition for the rechargeable lithium battery includes a binder including a non-aqueous binder and an aqueous binder, inorganic particles, and a solvent. The non-aqueous binder includes a first non-aqueous polyvinylidene fluoride-based binder and a second non-aqueous polyimide-based binder.
