Pressure regulator

Pressure regulator, especially for a motor vehicle fuel supply system, has a connection between the valve seat support (10) and the regulator housing (2) that permits variation of the its position relative to a valve leaf spring (16) in the direction of the axis (28) of the valve seat. The valve seat support can then be fixed in a desired selected position. An independent claim is made for a method for setting a defined opening pressure of an inventive pressure regulator.
