Device for attaching a snow chain

The device has a removable fixation part of a free end of a cable. The part has a mobile unit (9) that moves between a position of blocking the cable end and an unblocking position. The mobile unit has driving surfaces (17,18) to exert an extraction force on a support surface connected to the end of the cable, when the mobile unit is moved to the unblocking position. An independent claim is also included for an antiskid chain of a motor vehicle.
