Thermoelectric generating device
DRIVE
November 10, 2004
A thermoelectric generating device has a thermoelectric element which utilizes an exhaust gas from an engine (10) as a high temperature heat source and an engine coolant as a low temperature heat source in order to generate electricity. An introducing passage (113) introduces a part of the exhaust gas passed through the thermoelectric element into an intake (12) of the engine (10). An introducing valve (113a) opens and closes the introducing passage (113). A controller (120) controls an opening degree of the introducing valve (113a) according to a load of the engine (10).
