Combined display and input device for a vehicle

Touchscreen device (2) has area (16) with graphic representations of operating elements to activate functions and handwriting input area (17) connected to handwriting recognition module of central control module. It has pure display area (18) and display (19) operating together with area (17). Device (2) is firmly attached in motor vehicle located apart from central control module.
