Height control air spring

The air spring (2) with regulatable level has two end members (4,6) spaced a variable distance apart. These end members are connected to each other via a flexible bellows (8) and an elastic element (14). The elastic element is a helical spring or a spiral spring or a band of elastomeric material. The elastic element has an mechanoelectric sensor (20). Preferably the length of the elastic element in a relaxed state is such that it stretches across the whole spring just by pulling.
