Battery for electronic devices

Battery for storing electric energy, comprising a battery cell (10), a battery interface unit (20) attached to said battery cell, and a housing comprising a box member (30) into which said battery cell is placed through an open wall (31), wherein said interface unit forms part of said housing, closing said open wall. The battery interface unit is connected to pole tabs (11,12) at a shorter side of said battery cell to extend along a substantially common plane with said battery cell, and after introducing the battery cell into the box member the interface unit is folded at said pole tabs to a substantially right angle to said battery cell. The interface unit is subsequently attached to box member.
