Illuminated pointer with cover cap including translucent layer

A pointer (12) has reflective/refractive plane provided in base to reflect a portion of illumination light introduced in base to go longitudinally of pointer and to reflect another portion of light towards light emitting surface (13i). A cover cap (14) has light translucent layer and light shielding layer. The light shielding layer has an opening (16a) for transmitting portion of illumination light through reflective plane.
