METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING ARC SUPPRESSION DEVICE

A method and apparatus for controlling an arc suppression device of a three-phase electric network, the arc suppression device having an adjustable admittance connected between a neutral point of the three-phase electric network and earth, the apparatus being configured to perform a current injection into the neutral point of the three-phase electric network by using a frequency different from a frequency of the three-phase electric network, obtain a value of a zero-sequence impedance of the three-phase electric network and/or obtain a value of a zero-sequence admittance of the three-phase electric network, and determine, based on the obtained value of the zero-sequence impedance and/or based on the obtained value of the zero-sequence admittance, whether to initiate a tuning of the arc suppression device of the three-phase electric network.
