The housing has a base section (10) for fixing of the electronic control device and incorporating a cooling device (12) for removal of waste heat from the housing via a circulated cooling medium. The base section can be formed as a cooling plate having cooling medium flow channels, provided on their outer sides with profiles for heat dissipation and stiffening of the base section.
