A fuel injection valve for an in-cylinder injection type internal combustion engine has a nozzle top portion in which a fuel injection port (17) is opened at a tip end portion, which comprises a conical shape seat face (31) in which a valve body (13) is seated at one side face and a flat surface at another side face. A small projection (30; 30-1) projects from the flat surface (30', 30") and in a tip end of the small projection (30; 30-1) the fuel injection port (17) opens, and the opening is connected to the seat face (31) with a cylindrical shape passage.
