Retaining device for a socket

The coupling has a base element [2] that is fixed to a trailer coupled to a road vehicle. Attached to this is a pivot mounted unit [3] that supports a socket for electrical connection via a plug. The pivot mounted element has a circular profile with ratchet segments [8]. A ratchet disc [4] fits into this and is set at a selected position.
