Internal combustion engine having pre-chamber and spark ignition

DRIVE October 6, 2004
Source
The engine has an injector (8) that injects fuel in a combustion chamber (4) at a pressure of 250 bars in a manner to form an air-fuel mixture and to favor the penetration of a part of the mixture into a pre-combustion chamber (1). The pre-combustion chamber communicates with the combustion chamber through an orifice (5) formed in a wall (12) that delimits the chamber and a spark generator of a spark plug.
