It has fixed lamps (12,12') on the right-hand and left-hand front corners aimed at a wide angle to the right and left of the vehicle axis. The main headlamp units are linked to the front wheel steering gear by an AFL (Adaptive Forward Light) control to follow steering movements to right and left of the vehicle axis. A CAN (Controller Area Network) or LIN bus system may be used. The main headlamps produce beams of light (11,11') which are aimed straight ahead when the steering is centered, and the main headlamps are swiveled to the left and right as the vehicle is steered round left-hand and right-hand bends.",
