The chest pad (7) is provided with an airbag (21) and a gas bag (22). When an automobile is in a collision, a pressing force is applied to the gas bag (22) by the body (B) of a child. The gas pressure in the gas bag (22) then exceeds a certain value, and sections engaged with holes of the gas bag (22) are torn so that the gas in the gas bag (22) flows into the airbag (21). The airbag (21) is thus inflated to receive the head of the child.",
