Foldable seat for motor vehicle and corresponding motor vehicle

The seat has a backrest (30) movably connected with a back end of a base (28). The base and front surface are directed towards one another when the seat is in a folded configuration. The base has displacement units (32,34,36) adapted to move the base and backrest in translation towards a seat plane (P-P), when the backrest is in an unfolded position. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle.
