Sun shade system for a vehicle

The sunshade for a motor vehicle has a pair of spreader bars (12,16) extending between guide rails (18). The spreaders support a flexible shade panel (14) attached to them and running in the guide rails. The shade panel can be of elastic material and the spreaders can be telescopic.
