Silent damper with anti-rattle shaft

The damper (10) includes a housing assembly (14) and a piston assembly (12) with reciprocates within the cylindrical walls of the housing assembly. The cap of the housing is formed by portions of elastic O-rings which extend across the mouth of the housing slidably retaining the piston shaft.
