Nonfritted electrode comprising a two-dimensional conductive support covered with a layer comprising an electrochemically active material and a binder which is a mixture of a styrene-acrylate copolymer and a cellulosic compound. An independent claim is also included for a secondary electrochemical generator comprising a positive electrode as above, a metal hydride negative electrode and an alkaline aqueous electrolyte.
