Acoustical rear parcel shelf for a vehicle interior

The panel has an upper board (2) and a lower board (3) disposed on a side of passenger and luggage compartments, respectively, and connected to form a cavity (4) between them. Each board has openings near an end opposite to each board to communicate with the cavity. An acoustic absorption unit (7) is disposed at the interior of the cavity. An airtight acoustic unit is provided on one part of the periphery of the panel. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a process of production of a rear shelf panel (b) a luggage compartment having a rear shelf panel.
