Angular velocity detection device

An angular velocity detection device is provided, which can sense the angular velocity of a mobile unit with high accuracy. An angular velocity detection device (100) includes angular velocity detection means (101) for delivering a first sensor output ( omega gyro) corresponding to an angular velocity of the mobile unit; learning means (105) for learning a sensitivity coefficient (K) in accordance with the first sensor output ( omega gyro) and an output (ϕgps) provided by GPS positioning means (102); acceleration detection means (103) for delivering a second sensor output (a) corresponding to an acceleration of the mobile unit; sensitivity coefficient correction means (106) for determining a corrected sensitivity coefficient (Kc) in accordance with the sensitivity coefficient (K) and the second sensor output (a); and angular velocity conversion means (104) for multiplying the first sensor output ( omega gyro) by the corrected sensitivity coefficient (Kc) to thereby calculate the actual angular velocity ( omega y) of the mobile unit.
