Temperature control for an engine intake system

A temperature control arrangement for an engine intake system is disclosed. The arrangement includes an air-to-air heat exchanger (26), preferably an intercooler supplied by a supercharger (20), having a first air flow path (P1) therethrough in a heat exchange relationship with a second air flow path (P2). The first air flow path is adapted to carry charge air (Ac) towards an intake port of an engine (10) and the second air flow path is adapted to carry cooling air (50) for cooling the charge air.
