Battery containing a plurality of cells and process for connecting the cells of said battery

Battery has multiple battery cells (20) each presenting positive and negative contacts (100, 110) in an orientation to obtain a desired configuration of terminals in form of contacts. Metal inserts (70) electrically connect each cell in series and establish an electrical contact between the positive contact of one cell and the negative contact of another cell. An independent claim is also included for a process of assembling a battery.
