  "textContent": "An open roof construction for a vehicle having a roof opening (2) in its fixed roof (1), comprising a frame (3) including longitudinal guide sections (6), a closure (4) moveable between a closed position and an open position in which the closure is slid under the fixed roof, a closure operating mechanism (5) for opening and closing the closure (4), a drain channel (11) positioned under the rear edge of the roof opening at least in a closed position of the closure (4), and a drain channel operating mechanism (10) which is capable of moving the drain channel (11) in the opening direction of the closure (4), wherein said drain channel operating mechanism (10) is adapted so as to cause a relative movement between the drain channel (11) and the closure (4). The relative movement may be used to move the drain channel (11) such that the drain channel (11) occupies less space when the closure (4) is at its fully opened position, which leads to a saving of space within the frame.",
