Driver airbag module

The driver's airbag module has an airbag (18) which with regard to the inflated state has a front wall (22) facing the driver (A), and the middle section of which has a recess (26). The front wall with regard to the center of the recess has an upper (30) and a lower (32) section, whereby the outer edge of the upper section has three straight sections which are interconnected by curved transition sections, the radii of which are substantially smaller than their distance from the center of the recess.
