Disclosed is an anti-rattle valve feature for a heating, ventilating, and air conditioning assembly (20, 50, 100). In a typical HVAC assembly (20, 50, 100) each end of an air valve shaft (32, 34, 64, 74, 84, 102) is received in a pivot hole (40, 42, 66, 76, 86) permitting the air valve shaft (32, 34, 64, 74, 84, 102) to rotate within the assembly (20, 50, 100). Because the inside diameter of the pivot holes (40, 42, 66, 76, 86) are larger than the outside diameter of the ends of the air valve shaft (32, 34, 64, 74, 84, 102), the air valve shaft (32, 34, 64, 74, 84, 102) may rattle within the pivot holes (40, 42, 66, 76, 86). Disclosed is a finger (44, 70, 80, 90, 108) that contacts the air valve shaft (32, 34, 64, 74, 84, 102) to apply pressure to the air valve shaft (32, 34, 64, 74, 84, 102) and biases an end of the air valve shaft (32, 34, 64, 74, 84, 102) against the inside of it pivot hole (40, 42, 66, 76, 86), thereby preventing rattling of the air valve shaft (32, 34, 64, 74, 84, 102) within its respective pivot holes (40, 42, 66, 76, 86).
