Drive control apparatus for hybrid vehicle

Source
A rotational shaft (28) receives drive power from an engine (14) and a first motor (16), and drives front wheels (26a) through front clutches (38a, 38b). A second motor (18) drives rear wheels (26b). The first motor (16) and the second motor (18) are supplied with electric power from a battery (15). A main ECU (20) controls an electric vehicle mode in which the first clutches (38a, 38b) are disengaged, the supply of fuel to the engine (14) is stopped, and the second motor (18) drives the rear wheels (26b) to propel a hybrid vehicle, by dividing the electric vehicle mode into a first propulsion mode and a second propulsion mode. In the first propulsion mode, the first motor (16) is de-energized. In the second propulsion mode, a load imposed on the second motor (18) is greater than that of the first propulsion mode, and the first motor (16) is supplied with electric power to rotate the rotational shaft (28) at a predetermined speed.
