The fuel injection valve has a valve body (1) with a resting surface (50) pressed against another resting surface (55) by a clamping nut (7). The valve body contains a blind boring (10) from the resting surface, ontaining fluel under high pressure. There is an annular groove (42) in the blind boring at a spacing from the resting surface.
