Turbomachine arrangement

The flow machine arrangement (10) has two compressor or turbine stages (12,14) coupled by a common shaft (16) that can be operated as a dual stage or dual flow arrangement depending on the volumetric fluid flow passing through the arrangement. A pivotable or sliding control element is arranged between an inlet channel (20) and an outlet channel (22). The inlet and outlet channels can be connected by a bypass channel.
