Acoustic transducer for a motor vehicle
DRIVE
June 23, 2004
The device has a hollow transmission body connected at its input to couple out airborne sound to a vehicle sound source and radiate modulated airborne sound at its output to a target space(s). The transmission body is connected at its input to communicate with a line that is in turn connected to the exhaust system of an internal combustion engine and that is a component of a device for feeding gas into and/or removing gas from the exhaust system. The device is mounted on or in a motor vehicle and has a hollow transmission body (25) connected at its input (26) to couple out airborne sound to a sound source (1) of the motor vehicle and that radiates modulated airborne sound at its output (24) into or to at least one target space (21,23). The transmission body is connected at its input to communicate with a line (8,14) that is in turn connected to the exhaust system (5) of an internal combustion engine (1) and that is part of a device (7,13) for feeding gas into and/or removing gas from the exhaust system
