Device and method for controlling an agricultural tractor with a continuously variable transmission

DRIVE June 23, 2004
Source
The method of running a tractor with a continuously variable transmission involves carrying out a nominal actual comparison between the driver's option and the actual engine RPM, whereby a RPM shortfall is prevented. By means of a RPM governor (4) the engine nominal RPM in idling regime is increased to the value which corresponds to the RPM shortfall during part or full load running. The running method is integrated into the tractor's speed governor. An Independent claim is included for a control for the running of a tractor using the proposed method.
