Storage compartment

The device has a pivotably mounted cover for opening and closing the compartment and an inner compartment with an access side pivotable between closed and open positions in which the access side is inaccessible and accessible respectively. The inner compartment lid and housing are coupled via a lever mechanism and control device to a control curve so the inner compartment is pivoted to the closed position when the storage compartment is closed. The storage compartment (1) has a pivotably mounted cover for opening and closing the compartment and an inner compartment (7) with an access side (10) mounted in the housing of the storage compartment to be pivotable between a closed position and an open position in which the access side is inaccessible and accessible respectively. The lid (3) for the inner compartment and the housing are coupled via a lever mechanism (11) and a control device (12) to a control curve (13) so the inner compartment is pivoted into the closed position when the storage compartment is closed.
