Method for determining the condition of a road from a travelling vehicle

A sound level signal describing a sound determines a frequency signal split by a limiting frequency into two sub-ranges each assigned to an appropriate frequency band. An intensity value is detected for two frequency bands from each sub-range so as to identify sound intensity in one frequency band.
