Air intake system for an IC engine

The device sucks in air via an air filter arranged in a housing in the nose of the vehicle and connected to air inlet openings. At least one suction port (9) of an air filter housing opens into an encapsulated air dam chamber (2) terminated at the front by nose cladding (3) and at the rear by an engine compartment wall (4) with at least one lower air inlet opening (11,12) and connected to air inlet openings (13) in the nose.
