Implantable device with improved battery recharging and powering configuration

An implant system (10), comprising: a case (12); electrical circuitry (16) that provides a desired stimulating/sensing function; recharging means (22) for receiving electrical power induced from extemal ac magnetic fields; and a battery (14) that is housed within the case and that is coupled to the recharging means and the electrical circuitry.
