DRIVE
June 2, 2004
A pneumatic tire having a runflat capability provided with a crescent shaped reinforcing rubber layer at the side part thereof, wherein an inner layer is composed of a thermoplastic elastomer composition containing (A) at least one thermoplastic resin having an air permeation coefficient of 100 x 10 cc.cm/cm.sec.cmHg or less and a Young's modulus of more than 500 MPa and (B) at least one elastomer ingredient having an air permeation coefficient of 50 x 10 cc.cm/cm.sec.cmHg or more and a Young's modulus of 500 MPa or less in amounts of at least 30 % by weight based upon the total polymer ingredients and having an air permeation coefficient of 100 x 10 cc.cm/cm.sec.cmHg or less.
