Roof module for motor vehicle

The roof module has a light-permeable panel (10) and a sunscreen device (20) connected thereto and designed to fit into a storage unit (30) which is mounted movable between an assembly position where it is positioned as a whole beneath the useful part (12) of the panel against the opening of the vehicle to be closed, and an operating position where the said storage unit is positioned at least in part outside of the space provided underneath the said useful part of the panel. Independent claim describes vehicle fitted with roof module. Further independent claim describes method for assembling roof module by fitting storage unit in assembly position and moving roof module onto upper part of vehicle body and then moving storage unit into opening and fixing panel.
