"textContent": "The particle filter regeneration procedure includes regulating the delay (theta) of the injection (Q) as a function of the difference (s) between the temperature of the exhaust gas (Te) and a combustion reference (Tc). The quantity of fuel and duration of the injection are adjusted in order to maintain a constant motor couple and optimum temperature within the filter. The procedure for regeneration of a particle filter in the exhaust system of an internal combustion engine is triggered by the delayed injection of fuel. The procedure includes regulating the delay (theta) of the injection (Q) as a function of the difference (s) between the temperature of the exhaust gas (Te) and a combustion reference (Tc). The quantity of fuel and duration of the injection are adjusted in order to maintain a constant motor couple. If the measured temperature (Te) is lower or higher than the reference (Tc), the computer determines either a greater or smaller delay respectively than that provided when the temperatures are equal. The computer also determines and increase, or a diminution of the injected fuel quantity to raise or lower the temperature respectively.",
