Device and method to simulate a pedal characteristic

Pedal position (Spedal) is adjusted by an electrohydraulic servo unit (2,5) that is part of a control circuit. The reference variable for the control circuit is the pedal's set point position (Sd), which is calculated with suitable algorithms from the pedal's force (Fpedal) determined by a force transducer (11). An Independent claim is also included for a method for simulating preset operating behavior of a motor vehicle's pedal.
