Formed by an outer layer of plastic foil or an aluminum sheet and an inner plastic layer foamed onto an outer plastic layer (3'), a bodywork component acts like a sandwich. The outer layer can have several planar areas (1',2') that have varied coloration, can be abutted directly or with an intermediate layer of a decorative or cover strip (6) and are firmly interlinked by foaming from behind.
