A bulkhead (18) is mounted on a fan cowl (16). A translating cowl (20) is supported for movement between a closed position adjacent the bulkhead and an open position spaced apart from the bulkhead to form an outlet (35) for discharging air from an air duct. A plume control device (38) extends longitudinally across the outlet to divide the air discharged from the air duct into plumes.
