Power distribution abnormality detection method and system for an electric load device in an internal combustion engine

A current amount (Iall) applied to electric load device is calculated based on the generated current amount (Ialt) supplied from a generator to the electric load device and battery, and charged/discharged current amount (Ibat) of the battery. The abnormality in power distribution is determined based on the change in calculated current amount in response to the change in power supplied to the electric load device. An independent claim is also included for system of detecting abnormality in power distribution to electric load device.
