Method and device for detecting a set mass flow of a fluid through a conduit of an IC engine by means of an actuator

The mass flow measuring method has the mass flow along an exhaust gas feedback line (5) for the IC engine (10) determined from the drop in the temperature along the exhaust gas feedback line and the temperature at a setting element (1) controlling the mass flow, e.g. in dependence on the quotient of the temperature difference between the temperature at the setting element and the temperature at a first end of the line and the temperature difference between the temperatures at the opposite ends of the line. An Independent claim for a mass flow measuring device for an IC engine is also included.
