Noise damping device for an air compressor unit

The noise damping device (12) is provided as a pneumatic coupling device (6) between the atmosphere (11) and the input (8) of an air filter (7) preceding the pressurized air generator (23) for a pneumatic suspension system which has an electrically-driven air compressor (15) and an air dryer (16). The pneumatic coupling device acting as the noise damping device can be provided by an elastic hose connection containing a porous noise-damping material.
