Assembly with a base body for a steering wheel and an airbag module

The unit has a basic steering wheel body (12) and an airbag module (14) reversibly latchable to the basic body with a first group of latching elements (318) and at least one second latching element (322) that are mutually engagable. With the unit assembled the latching elements are arranged to be movable in an unlocking direction (R) so that all latching connections can be simultaneously disengaged without damage.
