Control for a group of lighting fixtures

A group controller (9) coupled to the feeder lead of a lighting fixture (11) identifies a failure in power supply, and supplies a control signal to a emergency light fixture (7) which is switched ON by the received control signal. An independent claim is also included for group controller.
