The motor vehicle internal combustion engine electromechanical valve drive control has a processor (30) with a receiver (34) for information (R,Cbrut, G, T, Q; C.V.) relating to the engine function and vehicle operation. The processor has a control (38) for the valve actuators which selects the number and-or type of inlet valves activated per cylinder, with deactivated valves held in the closed position.
