Survey apparatus and survey method using a laserscanner

The method involves using a laser scanner (1) on a holder and connected to an evaluation arithmetic unit by bringing the scanner into a first position in which one can measure the object in a pointwise manner, rotating the laser through an accurately known angle, determining its position at several fixed points (8) whose absolute coordinates are known and determining absolute coordinates in the arithmetic unit. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a laser scanner with an evaluation arithmetic unit for implementing the inventive method; and (b) a method of manufacturing an inventive laser scanner.
