Fuel injection controller for direct injection engine

The electronic control unit (40) has a compensating device which performs a compensation to the increase amount of fuel injected in compression stroke injection mode when fuel injection mode is shifted from intake stroke injection mode to compression stroke injection mode in cool condition of an engine (10). The compensation is continued for a predetermined time from the shifting of the fuel injection mode. An independent claim is also included for a fuel injection controlling method.
